Members, League partners, and friends are cordially invited to attend the Delaware League of Local Governments' monthly dinner meeting from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the Maple Dale Country Club in Dover. The event features a keynote presentation from Neil Kirschling, Executive Director of the Delaware Arts Alliance.

K?irschling's presentation will focus on the Delaware Arts Alliance "Creative Economy and Cultural Tourism Recovery and Growth Plan."

The first of its kind in the nation, this effort will engage hundred of Delawareans to produce a shared vision and advocacy tools for advancing Delaware's creative economy. Supported by funding from the Economic Development Administration's (EDA) American Rescue Plan Travel, Tourism & Outdoor Recreation program, awarded by Governor John Carney and the Delaware Division of Small Business, the Delaware Arts Alliance will:
- Produce an interactive, publicly available GIS map of Delaware's creative economy;
- Perform an economic impact study;
- Create comprehensive recovery plans for Delaware statewide, all three counties and in select Opportunity Zones (Wilmington, Middletown, Dover, Smyrna, Georgetown, Milford).
