City Management Association of Delaware (CMAD)

About

The City Management Association of Delaware (CMAD) is an association of professional local government managers in the State of Delaware. CMAD is an affiliate of both the Delaware League of Local Governments (DLLG) and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) - the leading organization of local government professionals dedicated to creating and sustaining thriving communities throughout the world. Mission

The mission of CMAD shall be:

To set standards for association members to provide quality services to the public;
To provide professional support to CMAD membership;
To promote discussion, exchange, and development of ideas and strategies on local government and professional management issues;
To provide professional development through education and specialized training opportunities;
To promote management with high ethical standards in Delaware's cities and towns;
To actively support membership and participation in the association and profession;
To develop and monitor legislative items which affect the municipality and its Council;
To increase the proficiency of municipal administrators, managers, and others who serve in administrative leadership roles within municipal governments;
To strengthen the quality of local government through professional management;
To recognize and promote the historical significance of the Manager forms of local government in Delaware; and
To support and educate the public, elected officials, and others about the benefits and value of professional local government management and the Council-Manager form of government

Membership

There are six categories of membership: full members, associate members, members in transition, student members, partner members, and honorary members. Memberships are held by individuals and are not transferable. To join, please contact CMAD’s President Kristy Rogers.
